Interesting. Interactive. Fun.

Other Projects & Games

Creating strong interactive experience is essential if you’re looking to attract interest and attention with your target audience. My years of software development skills have allowed me to explore different areas of computing and user interface. From the initial design concept to the final outcome, I work diligently towards bringing your vision to life in the most professional manner.

Conceptualize. Visualize. Strategize. Develop.

BioSpires

BioSpires is an interactive art installation that integrates an android control pod that allows people to walk up and interact with the lighting system.

I collaborated with 3 other creatives to implement an interactive sculpture/structure.

The system uses a custom native android app that talks via bluetooth to an arduino microcontroller. The microcontroller then sends a set of custom packets via a 432mhz radio link to each of the towers. Each tower has an arduino inside it, and decodes the signal into RGB color components, which is then sent via DMX to a standard lighting kit.

I designed & created all the software and hardware. The art piece was exhibited at Art Outside near Austin, Texas in 2014.

Art Outside is a large outdoor music & art festival.

StarGates

StarGates is a puzzle/strategy game that I created and released as shareware. I created the concept, the game play, the graphics and the game engine. The 3D font was rendered with TypeCaster, a plug-in for Photoshop that I helped develop at Xaos Tools.

Personality Test 2

Personality Test is a multimedia application that performed 4 different tests. I created the graphics, the UI, the question engine and the charting. I released it as shareware, it was very popular.

Battle Planets

Battle Planets is a turn-based strategy game that I created in the mid 90s and released as shareware. I created the 3D-models, the UI, the game engine and the cheesy jokes.

Foul Play (Clue)

Foul Play: Mystery at Awkward Manor

I created the multimedia engine for panoramic views, and character animations. The game won several innovation awards.

I went to England to work with the developer directly. I developed an animated sprite system and implemented it as custom XCMDs written in C. Completed work ahead of schedule, and added a scene transition package before I left England.

Aldus Personal Press

Personal Press is an entry-level desktop publishing package that featured one of the first "wizards" that allowed people to easily create customized templates with live previews.

I designed the UI and implemented the autocreate feature. Many ideas were taken from this application for use in Adobe's InDesign. Adobe acquired Aldus in the mid 90's.

SVBCo VideoEdge

VideoEdge is an early video editing system for Macintosh. I created the software using Supercard with many custom XCMD's. Worked with a hardware engineer to implement the device control interface. It also had a complete titling & animation system, which I also wrote.

Here is the data sheet FRONT and BACK.

Lunar Lander

Lunar Lander is a game I wrote for the Apple Newton.

It was a #1 download on America Online for several weeks, and was featured in the Newton store in downtown San Francisco.

Apple's Newton laid the groundwork for the iPhone.

Championship Casino Craps

The first game I published commerically. For IBM-PC/XT... only available on 5 1/2" Floppy Disk... oh u youngsters with your interwebs... do u even know what a floppy disk is?

I created this game in BASIC, and made custom routines to load the bitmap animations of rolling the dice, and the board layout. I learned alot about craps, and that most people don't know that craps is the highest odds game in the casino. If you master this game, you can easily put your kids through college. Or... get kicked out of Vegas.
